PURPOSE: To obtain a TAB which can be bent freely, whose heat resistance, dimensional stability and bending property are excellent and which is remarkably thin as compared with conventional products by a method wherein resin layers are composed of an identical solvent-soluble and heat-resistant resin and which comprise respective desired patterns are laminated on the surface and the rear of a conductor pattern layer. CONSTITUTION: In a TAB, resin layers 8, 8' which are composed of an identical solvent-soluble and heat-resistant resin and which comprise respective desired patterns are laminated on the surface and the rear of a conductor pattern layer 6. For example, a pattern for which a resist 5 is to be used is formed on the face of a metal layer 1 at strippable metal-foil laminated bodies 1 to 3 for a TAB, a part in which the metal layer 1 is exposed is etched, and the resist 5 is then removed by a remover. Then, only a prescribed required part on a conductor pattern 6 is coated with a resin, and a resin layer 8 is formed. Then, a backing material which is composed of a base material 3 and of a strippable adhesive 2 is stripped, and a resin layer 8' is formed on a stripped face in the same manner as the surface. |
