<p>PURPOSE: To provide magnetic toner and an image forming method by which toner consumption is made lower than heretofore, image density is made high, a sharp image obtained by developing a small spot latent image with fidelity and the clear image without fogging in substance can be obtained, and toner welding does not occur on a latent image carrier. CONSTITUTION: Voltage for restoring toner from the latent image carrier 100 to a toner carrier, and voltage for making the toner fly from the toner carrier to the latent image carrier 100 are impressed at least once for T1 hours on the toner carrier, then voltage in a direction where the toner is made to fly is impressed with respect to an image part and voltage in a direction where the toner is restored is impressed with respect to a non-image part for T2 hours. The magnetic toner used in a developing process in which T2/T1 is >=0.1 is the magnetic toner which is obtained by externally adding and mixing magnetic toner particles and organically processed non-organic fine powder and where volume average particle size Dv(μm) is 3<=Dv<6, weight average particle size D4(μm) is 3.5<=D4<6.5, and the existence rate Nm of the particles whose size is <=5μm on number particle size distribution is 60<Nm<=90.</p> |
