PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming material to make an offset printing plate by a silver salt diffusion transfer method excellently matched (adjusted) between the printing plate and its print. SOLUTION: In an image forming material containing (i) an image receiving layer containing a physical developing nucleus, (ii) a photosensitive layer containing a silver halide emulsion being in the water permeable relationship with the image receiving layer and (iii) a stress resistant composition (the stress resistant composition contains unhardened gelatin by a quantity of 0.60 to 1.75g/m<2> ) being in the water permeable relationship with the image receiving layer in this order on a hydrophilic surface of a support body, the image forming material is formed so that at least 50wt.% of the unhardened gelatin belongs to one or more kinds of gelatin and its 10wt% aqueous solution (36 deg.C and pH 6) has viscosity lower than 35mPa.s at shearing speed of 1000s<-1> .
