<p>PURPOSE: To provide a two-component developer excellent in preservability over a long period of time, ensuring satisfactory flowability and image density and fit even for continuous copying repeated many times. CONSTITUTION: This developer consists of a toner with fine particles stuck to the surface and a carrier, the fine particles include fine alumina particles andαvalue calculated by the expressionα=[Tc/(100-Tc)](ρ2 /ρ1 )(r2 /4r1 ) is 0.35-0.80. In the expression, Tc is the concn. (wt.%) of the toner,ρ1 is the true specific gravity of the toner,ρ2 is the true specific gravity of the carrier, r1 is the vol. average particle diameter (μm) of the toner and r2 is the vol. average particle diameter (μm) of the carrier.</p> |
