<p>PURPOSE: To provide an liquid crystal display element which operates on a low driving voltage and with which a sufficient contrast is obtainable. CONSTITUTION: This liquid crystal display element has two sheets of substrates 1, 5 which face each other, comb-shaped wall electrodes which are disposed on each of the plural pixels regulated by the longitudinal direction wirings and transverse direction wirings formed on the surface of the one substrate 1 in such a manner that their main surfaces intersect orthogonally with the surfaces of two sheets of the substrates 1, 5 and their adjacent main surfaces constitute counter electrodes 11, 12 with each other and liquid crystals which are packed into the spacings of the comb-shaped wall electrodes disposed between the two substrates.</p> |
