<p>PURPOSE: To accurately recognize even the lane of a travel path at a distance while securing a wide visual field with a simple constitution by horizontally enlarging photographed image information. CONSTITUTION: The signal of a camera 2 is converted by an A/D converter 3. Then, a delay circuit 16 inputs the image signal outputted by a color difference converting circuit 4 and a processing part 5 delays the input signal by a necessary processing time for synchronization with signals that the processing part 5 requires. Then, a substituting circuit 15 performs a process for putting the processing result of the processing part 5 over unprocessed original image information and displays them on a monitor 18. After the information from a photography part 1 has been horizontally enlarged by an image zooming (image enlarging) process, an edge image is extracted to recognize the travel lane of this vehicle, it is judged whether or not this vehicle is exposed to danger, and a series of processes for alarming and evasion are performed.</p> |
