Machine for pressing must in wine presses comprising a frame 1 in the form of a triangular prism, provided with wheels 2 at least one of which is motor-driven by means of a motor 8. This machine is characterized in that pistons 4 move comb 3 comprising a bar 31 equipped with arms 32 with shoes 33 at the bottom up and down, thus pressing the must while, on the other side, the same machine moves on tracks 6 placed above the press 7. Control of the travel of the said vertical back and forth movement is adjustable, as is the position of one of the two points in the reversal of this movement, so that the machine can thus be adapted to the depth of different presses. Movement of the machine on the rails takes place in one direction or the other alternately, reversal being brought about e.g. by travel switches located on both sides of the press close to the ends of the rails. <IMAGE>
