PURPOSE: To enhance the utilizing efficiency of light to improve visual confirmability, and thin a device. CONSTITUTION: This indicator is formed of a surface lighting system X having a light guide plate 40 having a groove-like light taking body 110 on a flat part 52 and a LED lamp 53 arranged adjacent to the light guide plate 40 and aligned in array; a pattern display plate 111 closely arranged on the surface side of the light guide plate 50; and a reflecting plate 112 closely arranged on the reverse side of the light guide plate 50, and they are inserted to a holder 113, and held and fixed thereby. The pattern display plate 111 is formed of a transparent plate 122 and a light shielding sheet 123 capable of being clipped, the clipped area of the light shielding sheet 123 forms a light transmitting part 120 for transmitting light, and the remaining area of the light shielding sheet 123 forms a light non-transmitting part 121 never transmitting light. In the light non-transmitting part 121, the surface opposed to the light guide plate 50 forms a scattering reflecting surface 123b, and the outside surface forms a scattering surface 123a with low reflectance to visual light. |
