PURPOSE: To provide a developing device and process cartridge which prevents deformation of the contact part of an antenna wire by means of a simple structure, detects the presence/absence of toner highly accurately, is satisfactory in terms of assemblage and attachment/detachment to/from the main body of an image forming device, and is inexpensive. CONSTITUTION: A hole 67e is made in the rib 67d of a gear cover 67 protecting a gear (not illustrated) which transmits drive to a developing sleeve, etc., in a process cartridge. The front end of the contact part 65a of the antenna wire 65 used for the detection of the presence/absence of toner, which is sticking out of the side wall 45j of a toner container 45, is inserted into the hole 67e at the time of fitting the gear cover 67. |
