<p>PURPOSE: To provide a coordinate detecting device and angle information detecting method which can detect the tilt angle of a stylus pen with high precision. CONSTITUTION: The coordinate detecting device which has a position indicator having many sensor coils and an electromagnetic coupling means inside and detects the coordinates and tilt angle by detecting voltages induced at the sensor coils through electromagnetic mutual action has an angle information detecting means which corrects an error in the value of a specific function including the induced voltages of a main peak and a subordinate peak if the value has the error owing to the difference between the distributions of respective induced voltages of the main peak and subordinate peak within the detection width of one sensor coil by converting the induced voltage distribution of the main or subordinate peak so that it becomes similar to the other, and calculates the tilt angle of the stylus pen by using the specific function including the induced voltages of the main peak and subordinate peak after the correction.</p> |
