DIRECT CONTACT TYPE HOT WATER HEATER WITH WATER SCATTERING PREVENTER

PURPOSE: To enable preventing of dripping of water scattered from above and passing through an endothermic chamber into a high temperature gas supply chamber at open pores of a porous plate by laying a water scattering preventer with a mesh finer than the open hole of the porous plate on the entire top surface of the porous plate. CONSTITUTION: An endothermic chamber 5 filled with an endothermic material 5a is provided above a high temperature gas supply chamber 3. The endothermic material 5a of the endothermic chamber 5 is supported while a water film 11 is formed on the underside thereof to provide a porous plate 6 having an inclined surface for running water down around. The lower end of the inclined surface of the porous plate 6 is fixed on all surrounding wall surfaces at an upper part of the high temperature gas supply chamber 3 and numerous open holes 6b are drilled to allow the forming of the water film 11 by a surface tension. A water scattering preventer 7 with a mesh finer than the open holes 6b of the porous plate 6 is laid on the entire top surface of the porous plate 6. This prevents dripping of water scattered and passing through the endothermic chamber 5 into the high temperature gas supply chamber 3 from the open holes 6b of the porous plate 6.
