摘要 PURPOSE: To reduce a wavelength conversion circuit by setting plural wavelengths which are routed to the same destination node in a wavelength multiplex network into a single wavelength group and assigning an occupying optical fiber or a wavelength band to the wavelength group. CONSTITUTION: The different wavelengths λ1, λ2 and λ3 are assigned to a receiving port 15, and an optical signal of the wavelength corresponding to the port 15 of the connecting destination is inputted to a wavelength multiplex routing circuit 11 from a transmitting port 10. The optical signals are distributed to the optical links 12-1 to 12-3 corresponding to the destination nodes and then joined to the optical fibers 2-1 to 2-3 by the photocouplers 13-1 to 13-3. At the same time, the wavelength multiplex optical signal addressed to a node 1-1 is led to an optical link 12-4 from the fiber 2-1 via a photocoupler 13-4 and inputted to a wavelength separation circuit 14. The circuit 14 separates the wavelength multiplex optical signal in every wavelength and sends these separated signals to the port 15. The number of circuits can be set in response to the node scale.
