PURPOSE: To simply and quickly delete unnecessary commodity information by transmitting the commodity number information of all remaining commodity information to another commodity data processor through a line when prescribed commodity information is deleted from a commodity information storing means. CONSTITUTION: The commodity information (PLU data) of each commodity is stored in a PLU file 4 to be a commodity information storing means. When prescribed PLU data are deleted from the file 4, PLU numbers stored in the file 4 are successively read out and the PLU number information of all PLU data left in the file 4 is transmitted to another PLU data processor through a communication interface 5 connected by a system bus 6. Consequently unnecessary PLU data can be simply and quickly deleted and the efficiency of the PLU file 4 can be improved. |
