<p>PURPOSE: To prevent disorder in arrangement of tracks at the time when the consecutive recording is executed, in the case where the mounting position between a recording head and a reproducing head is dislocated from the normal position or in the case where the variance exists in the head width of the recording head or reproducing head. CONSTITUTION: Since the track is reproduced by the reproducing head 13 with a read-after-write operation at the time of recording, a pilot signal is obtained from an output signal of the reproducing head 13, and the tracking state of the reproducing head 13 is stored in a memory 45 as a tracking error signal j1 by the operations up to a circuit 42 for processing tracking error data. In the assembling reproduction, the tracking control is made for the track performing the next recording operation by the circuit 42 for processing the tracking error data in accordance with the target value stored in this memory 45.</p> |
