<p>PURPOSE: To receive, organize and present all the wide area band distribution services which a subscriber joins. CONSTITUTION: Program information from not less than two external sources such as CATV, a telephone company TELCO, a direct broadcasting satellite DBS is received, organized and displayed on a display at home. First, plural signals each of which is from a different external source and is related to information for constructing the program information data base of each source are received. Next, program information of the individual stream of each external source is integrated to be a signal merge data base and the entry can be accessed as the function of a reference supplied by the user. In addition, information can be added to each record of the entry in program information of the individual stream showing the source and/or the cost. Finally, information included in the merge data base is displayed to the user for looking through CEBus(consumer electronics bus) and selecting a function.</p> |
