PURPOSE: To confirm the optical end of a lens operating member through the sense of touch and to improve the sense of operation by controlling the restraining means of the lens operating member based on a lens operation control signal generated by detecting the position of the optical end of the lens operating member. CONSTITUTION: When a focusing or zooming position exists in the middle of the ends, power is not supplied to a motor 5 and a two-wing shaped stopper dowel member 4 is not engaged with the tooth of a ring member 3 by the action of a leaf spring member 7, so that an operating ring 1 is freely rotated. Meanwhile, the focusing or the zooming position is moved to reach the end, which is detected and the lens operation control signal is outputted, then the motor 5 is rotated and the edge of either wing of the member 4 gets into the dent part of the tooth of the ring member 3. By rotating the ring 1 further, the side surface of the tooth of the ring member 3 pushes the member 4 and the side surface of the member 4 is turned till coming in contact with the inner surface of a fixed part 2. At such a time, the pivoting of the member 4 and the ring 1 is restrained. |
