The present invention relates to a junction box to encase cable connections and the like, consisting of two half-sections (1, 2) enclosing a space designed to accept the cable connection and having a flange-like edge (2a), a longitudinal seal (3) fitted between the flange-like edges and sealing the gap between them, clamping components (4) pressing the two half-sections (1, 2) together at the flange-like edges, a plurality of stubs (2b, 2c, 2c) formed on the half-sections (1, 2), projecting therefrom and having aperture for cables (10), and sealing components (5, 15, 25, 35, 45) to seal the cables (10) against the stubs. A junction box which is easy to produce and provides a reliable seal is obtained in that the sealing components (5, 15, 25, 35, 45) surround and seal a cable (10) at one end and provide a seal against the outside of the stub (2b, 2c, 2d) at the other. |
