PURPOSE: To suppress the occurrence of hicky and to improve solvent resistance and plate surface strength by subjecting the original plate of a waterless planographic printing plate to exposing and developing, then laminating a film thereon and exposing the laminate after water is made to stagnate on the plate surface. CONSTITUTION: The positive film is brought into tight contact by using an ordinary vacuum printing frame for planography with the original plate of the waterless planographic printing plate formed by laminating at least a photosetting photosensitive layer and an ink repulsion layer in this order on a substrate and the original plate is irradiated with active rays through this film. If a protective film exists, this protective film is removed and thereafter, the original plate is immersed into a developer and is developed by using a developing pad or developing brush, by which the waterless planographic plate is obtd. The plate surface after the exposing and developing is thereafter wetted with water by using a sponge, pad, etc., and steam is injected and sprayed thereto, by which the water is made to stagnate on the plate surface. The protective film is laminated thereon to prevent the intrusion of the air and thereafter, the original plate is subjected to exposure. The original plate is immersed into, for example, a water tank while the water is made to stagnate on the plate surface and the original plate is subjected to the exposure in the state of immersing the plate into the water. |
