PURPOSE: To obtain a copying material having high image density, excellent in thermal responsiveness for high-speed recording and having high reliability even from the viewpoint of preservability over a long period of time by incorporating specified 2-hydroxy-3-naphthoic acid alkylamide as a component coupling with a diazo compd. CONSTITUTION: This heat developable diazo copying material contains 2- Hydroxy-3-naphthoic acid alkylamide represented by the formula as a component to be coupled with a diazo compd. In the formula, R is 8-22C alkyl, e.g. octyl, decyl, dodecyl, hexadecyl or octadecyl. In the material obtd. by forming a developer layer contg. an alkali-soluble resin and a heat fusible material and a photosensitive layer contg. a diazo compd. on a substrate, the coupling component is contained on the developer layer. |
