CONNECTOR FOR CONNECTING PRINTED WIRING BOARD

PURPOSE: To provide a connector for connecting a printed wiring board which provides large support strength between two sheets of printed wiring boards connected to each other and has high reliability. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of contacts 3 provided so as to pass through an insulating housing 2 is provided with a first terminal part 4 connected to one- side printed wiring board 21 and a second terminal part 5 connected to the other printed wiring board 22. A pair of reinforcement metal fittings 10, 10 fitted into both ends of the insulating housing 2 respectively have a first reinforcement piece 16 soldered 24 to the one-side printed wiring board 21 together with the first terminal part 4 and a second reinforcement piece 17 soldered 24 to the other printed wiring board 22 together with the second terminal part 5. The first terminal part 4 and the first reinforcement piece 16 are mounted on the board in a through-hole mount type and the second terminal part 5 and the second reinforcement piece 17 are with a surface mount type.
