Method to obtain energy from brown coal

The method involves drying the initial brown coal at low temp. in a vortex layer or in a tubular dryer, and blowing it through the burner directly or after intermediate bunkering, and without further crushing, into the fire cavity of a steam generator. The dried coal is burnt in the burners sub-stoichiometrically with air number (n) less than 0.8. Burning-out air is blown via jets into the fire cavity and/or into a radiation cavity connected to it.
