When active carbon serves as an adsorbent in chemical processes it must be removed from its locating unit for regeneration from time to time. The novelty is that the carbon granules are pressed into shapes or fibres which are both chemically adsorbent and electrically conductive, to facilitate uniform warming of the entire carbon material. USE/ADVANTAGE- The carbon adsorbent can be regenerated within its own locating unit to simplify handling,. A high level of regenerative efficiency is attained without the formation of hot spots.
