Composite glass panel (1) is formed from two thermally prestressed individual panels (2,3) with a bonding layer (4) between them and the sandwich (6) is bent e.g. pref. on a wooden block (7) before being heated as an assembly with the block. It is then slowly cooled down before being released from the block. Pref. the panel is preheated and pre-pressed before bending, after which it is heated to 130 deg C. The composite is pref. formed under a pressure of 12-13 bar. Several panels may be bent as a stack at the same time.
