A device and a method for deviation correction when transferring an information-carrying signal (110) between a transmitter, which can transmit with a plurality of frequencies generated by a voltage-controlled oscillator (142) used for phase demodulation, and a receiver provided with a detector (378) which measures the deviation of the modulated information-carrying signal (314, 414) via the information-carrying signal demodulated (315, 321) in the receiver and in so doing can adjust, by means (376, 378), the frequencies of the demodulated information-carrying signal so that the correct deviation is obtained and a correct phase demodulation (382) can be carried out.
