The hub (1) consists of a hub axis (2), a hub sleeve (3), several rolling bearings (4), a gear wheel carrier (5) with follower toothing (7), a pawl support (10) coupled to the hub sleeve, and at least one locking pawl (9) on the support. It drives several toothed rims via a chain gear change. The gear wheel carrier transmits the torque to its gear wheels via a drive sleeve, a pawl lock, and the pawl support to the hub sleeve in the drive direction. The pawl lock forms a freewheel in opposite direction.
