The fastener consists of a tray and a bracket engaging over the battery. The bracket (14) is formed as a one-piece U-shaped clamp strip (15) of spring steel. A top bracket section (151) engages on the top of the battery, and two sides (152,153) extend on opposite sides of the battery down to the tray (13). A button (17) extends upwards from the top bracket section. When the button is pressed down, a securing member (16) at the end of the side (152) of the bracket locks with the corresponding securing member (18) on the tray.
