The filter box has a housing (1) in which a filtering cell (9) with a frame (13) rests, possibly via a profiled joint (10), against angle brackets (6). The housing (1) is provided with a connection element (32) for connection to an air-ducting system. Corner brackets (16) engage releasably in corner regions of the housing (1) in pockets (19) fixed to the housing (1). A threaded bolt (20) passes through the corner bracket (16) and presses against the frame (13) of the filtering cell (9) on the other side of the profiled joint (10).
