VIBRATORY LINEAR ACTUATOR AND METHOD OF DRIVING THE SAME

A vibratory linear actuator using a reciprocating motor which is adapted to electromagnetically drive a plurality of moving members at the same vibration frequency in opposite phases reciprocally with respect to a stator. The moving members are engaged with each other mechanically so that vibrations in inverse directions can be transmitted to each other. This ensures the opposite phase relation of the moving members by mechanical means. As a result, the opposite phase relation between the moving members is maintained even when disturbance occurs, so that the whole vibration system can be rendered stable irrespective of disturbance.
