FIELD: operative diagnostics of corrosion state of metallic objects operating in atmospheric condition, for example motor vehicles, by detecting electrolyte film on surface of said objects and determining its contour and thickness due to continuously testing conductance of zones of any dimensions and configuration; integrity control of dielectric protective-decorative metal coats. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes in addition acoustic signalling device such as buzzer, double-throw switch and metallic roller having dielectric coating on its rolling surface and movably mounted on supporting bracket of body of the apparatus. Output of acoustic signalling device is connected with said metallic roller, its input through said double-throw switch and variable resistor - with positive pole of electric current source.
