PURPOSE:To enhance color developability and the stability of a developed color image, in a recording material utilizing color development due to the contact of an electron donating colorless dye with an electron acceptive compound, by containing a mixture of zinc salts of salicylic acid derivatives as the electron acceptive compound. CONSTITUTION:As an electron acceptive compound, a mixture of zinc salts of salicylic acid derivatives represented by formula (wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are a hydrogen atom., an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group or a halogen atom.) and obtained by reacting alkali metal salts of two or more kinds of salicylic acid derivatives with a zinc compound is contained. As the salicylic acid derivatives, compounds each having 13 or more carbon atoms. are pref. from a viewpoint of water-insolubility and, as two or more kinds of the salicylic acid derivatives, two or more kinds of compounds having substituents different perfectly from each other are pref. used. As the zinc compound, zinc oxide or zinc hydroxide is designated. As an electron donating colorless dye, there are various compounds such as a triphenylmethane phthalide compound, a fluorane compound or the like, and the colorless dye and the compounds are used as a microdispersion or microdroplet. |
