FIELD: transport engineering; transmissions of automobiles and medium and heavy trailer-trains. SUBSTANCE: multistage gearbox has housing, input shaft, first and second planetary trains internal central wheels of which are connected with brakes, external central wheels are in meshing with each other and with first countershaft coupled through clutch with input shaft. Carrier of first planetary train is connected with internal central wheel of second planetary train and with second countershaft coupled through clutch with input shaft. Gearbox has also mechanism connecting input shaft with internal central wheel of first planetary train. Gearbox has additional countershaft, brake, clutch and planetary train similar to first two trains. Additional brake is connected with internal central wheel of additional planetary train. Additional clutch couples external central wheel and carrier of additional planetary train, additional countershaft connects carrier of second planetary train and external central wheel of additional planetary train; carrier of additional planetary train is connected with output shaft. Ratio of number of teeth of central wheels of additional planetary train is selected to meet definite relationship. Planetary mechanism coupling input shaft with internal central wheel of first planetary train has one or two brakes. This mechanism can be made multiflow with fixed shafts, and it is provided with clutch.
