FIELD: measuring equipment, production of hydrostatic level gages used to measure gasoline level in tanks of filling stations and tank farms. SUBSTANCE: hydrostatic level gage has two located one under another vessel of constant level, measuring tube, pump with take-off device, that is pumping part of liquid out of controlled tank into upper vessel of constant level, from which controlled liquid through throttle runs out at constant consumption speed into located below vessel of constant level, from which part of liquid through measuring tube runs out into tank and another part of liquid goes through discharge capacity, collecting capacity and flow meter. Readings of flowmeter are functionally linked with controlled liquid level in tank. Conversion of level linear value into time signal allowed due to increase of measurement duration significantly to raise resolution and to increase accuracy of level gage measurements.
