PURPOSE:To prevent weighing variations in a positive electrode mixture as well as to reduce variations in electric capacity, by performing the positive electrode mixture and a collector body at constant density and in a sheet form of specified thickness and, after punching this in the specified size, forming it into a regular shape. CONSTITUTION:Positive electrode mixture powder 1a is formed into a sheet form after being passed through a clearance between rolls 11 and 12, and pressed to a collector body 2 between rolls 11 and 13, thus it is formed into a sheetlike positive electrode mixture 1b with the collector body 2. This mixture is punched in the specified size together with the collector body 2, then it is put in a metal mold and formed into a regular shape at a density of 2-3g/cm<2> with a high pressure making machine, thus a positive electrode 1 with the collector body 2. Using this collector body-cum- positive electrode 1 obtained in this way, battery assembling takes place, manufacturing a lithium secondary battery. According to this process, substantial weighing for the positive electrode mixture is carried out by punching the sheetlike positive electrode mixture in the specified size after preforming the positive electrode mixture so that weighing variations due to a convection current of dried air sticking of weighing bottle to a side wall are preventable. |
