Tube bending round small radii

The tube is heated by an induction coil at the point of bending. As bending takes place, this coil and its followin spray quench are automatically moved along the tube. At the same time, axial pressure is applied to the end of the tube. The tube is also supported on the outside of the point of bending, to prevent distortion. The heater and the axial pressure apparatus are mounted on an arm that rotates about a vertical axis through the point of bending. Radii of bending smaller than the diameter of the tube can be used and no thinning of walls or distortion of section takes place.
