FIELD: light filters. SUBSTANCE: rigid vinyl plastic GOST 9634-81 is proposed to be used in the capacity of light filter of safe light for work with X-ray films. This material is used in the form of hot-pressed plates 2.5-3.0 mm thick. Illuminations sensitized to dark blue region of spectrum of X-ray films are not observed with illuminance 12-15 luxes right behind light filter and standard distance of 75.0 cm from projector to surface of table of X-ray technician. EFFECT: exceptional cheapness and simplicity of manufacture of light filter. 1 tbl
