COMPUTER SYSTEMS, DESIGN OF BUS AND METHOD OF INITIALIZATION OF BUS AID

FIELD: computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: given invention is meant for initialization of aid of symmetric arbitration with several aids on bus, each of which is initialized with the help of value of arbitration counter from values of others. Arbitration counter of each bus aid is used to monitor which aid was last or is present owner of bus. All bus aids come to sequence: which aid is priority one with system reset, that is which aid will be first to own bus. Arbitration counter of each aid is initialized in accordance with its own identifier. Arbitration contact pins are so coupled that each aid finds individual identifier on basis of which of its contact pins is activated during system reset. Maximum number of bus aids which is allowed to be connected to bus should also be determined. After determination of its own identifier each bus aid initializes its arbitration counter so that each aid comes to agreement: which of aids have priority. Each aid carries out this initialization on basis of its own identifier, identification of priority aid and maximum number of aids allowed to be connected to bus. EFFECT: enhanced functional reliability.
