A catering bar comprises first and second endless conveyor systems, one for warming food and one for cooling food. The warming system comprises an electrically heated plate (24) mounted on the conveyor. The cooling system comprises a cold air circulation system (42, 48). A partition board (30) separates the two conveyors. A retrieval conveyor (58) is disposed above the refrigerating conveyor (32). A board (56) above the warming system may be used for storing refrigerated goods.
