FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: 4-nitro-1,3-diaminobenzene is prepared from 1,3-diaminobenzene by acetylation with acetic anhydride followed by nitration of the resulting N,N-diacet-1,3-diaminobenzene and hydrolysis of the resulting 4-nitro N,N-diacet-1,3-diaminobenzene. Methylene chloride solvent is used at acetylation and nitration stages, and hydrolysis is carried out in aqueous 6-8% NaOH solution. The claimed process makes it possible to simplify equipment and technological procedure and also to considerably reduce the amount of sulfuric acid effluents. EFFECT: more efficient preparation process. |
