FIELD: high-precision geodetic and physical measurement. SUBSTANCE: autocollimation theodolite has vertical and horizontal axial systems with reading devices and autocollimation telescope with objective, prism unit with grid and eye-piece. Autocollimation telescope is fabricated in the form of reflective autocollimator and has possibility of inclination of horizontal axis of vertical axial system. Autocollimation telescope includes two-side mirror placed at half-focal distance from objective. Grid is located in nodal point of objective. Ring-shaped plane-parallel plate which is mounted for turn about two mutually perpendicular axes is positioned between objective and two-side mirror. Two-side mirror has own rotation axis parallel to horizontal axis of vertical axial system. Two-side mirror may turn about this own axis and it may tilt with regard to it. Mirror surface of horizontal coordinate system, for example, - open surface of liquid placed in front of telescope perpendicular to vertical rotation axis of horizontal axial system of theodolite can be used in the capacity of indicator of coordinate system of operation of theodolite. Proposed design of autocollimation theodolite makes it possible to set to true basic primary errors (collimation, inclination of axis of journals and inclination of vertical axis) right before usage of theodolite.
