FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: timber carrier - catamaran has hulls, mooring gear, ground tackle and devices for automatic coupling. Hulls interconnected by means of frames are made in form of hollow half-envelopes which are closed at ends and open underneath. On outer closed side hollow shoes are mounted with side struts inserted in them. Upper ends of struts are provided with flexible members, for example chains whose lower ends are movably secured to frames. Buoyancy of entire structure is obtained due to timber being immersed and compressed air filling hollow volumes in hull. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 3 dwg |
