<p>Waste, particularly old tyres, is crushed at 16 and fed to sealed conveyor 1 where it is soaked in oil and then moved to conveyor 2 to be treated with hot oil to cause liquefaction at relatively low temperature eg 200-450{C. Gaseous products are condensed and recovered, together with liquid products. Solid residue is washed in conveyor 3 and inorganic material recovered at 7. Oil control and circulation is provided for the soaking oil at 4, for the hot oil at 5, and for the washing oil at 6, with gas/liquid separation at 8.</p> |
