PURPOSE: To obtain ink jet recording paper imparting high image density, excel lent in ink absorbability and not generating the falling of a powder in case of cutting. CONSTITUTION: Two or more ink receiving layers each containing synthetic non-crystalline silica and an aq. binder are provided on a support. The film strength of the ink receiving layers is 2.0-5.0kg/cm as internal bonding strength prescribed by Tappi-Useful-Methods-403d. The internal bonding strength before the uppermost ink receiving layer is provided is desirably 0.5-2.5kg/cm. |
