<p>PURPOSE: To suppress reduction of flow quantity and reclaim large aperture, noncircular existing pipes by forming a helical pipe, which has a synthetic resin made belt-shaped body containing a metal made contour retaining member helically wound around it and engaged with adjoining parts, and deforming the perpendicular sectional form with respect to the longitudinal direction of the helical pipe. CONSTITUTION: A synthetic resin made belt-shaped body 1 contains engaging parts of such structure as having the edge of one side provided with recessed parts and the edge of the other side with protruded parts and the recessed parts and the protruded parts fitted together, and it is formed by such a way as inserting metal made retaining members 3, which are made in a shape so that they can be locked in a T shape, into T shape ribs 11 erected on the outside. A helical pipe 10 is obtained by winding the belt-shaped body 1 helically. The sectional form of the helical pipe is deformed into a circular or noncircular shape by pressing the helical pipe from its interior with a hydraulic jack. Helical pipes 10 are connected together by an incore joint 4 or the like, which sectional form is approximately the same as the helical pipe 10 after being deformed and which contains a joint of a shape that can be fitted into the interior of the helical pipe 10.</p> |
