<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load applied to a main seam, and to prevent the extension applied to the main seam by bursting a sacrificial seam arranged between the main seam and an opening part just before expansive gas pressure reaches the main seam of a surface panel. SOLUTION: Both a reverse panel 14 and a front panel 16 of an air bag cushion 12 having a gas generator 10 have a circular outside peripheral or edge part end part fastened by a main seam 18. The opening part is arranged in the center of the reverse panel 14 to be adapted to an opening part of the gas generator. A sacrificial seam 26 being concentric with the circular outside main seam 18 and having strength lower than that is arranged between the main seam 18 and the opening part. After the sacrificial seam 26 is cut, influence is not exerted in the arranging direction of a bag, so that bag capacity increases. As a result, even if cushion capacity increases, a load applied to the main seam 18 and an adjacent textile reduces.</p> |
