<p>PURPOSE: To produce a rolling bearing having high function at a low cost, as for each of a rolling body and inner and outer rings, by optimizing the material, working and heat treatment. CONSTITUTION: This rolling bearing is the one in which an inner ring, an outer ring or a rolling body is formed of an alloy steel having a compsn. contg., by weight, 0.1 to 1.0% C, 0.1 to 1.5% Si, 0.1 to 1.5% Mn and 0.1 to 3.0% Cr, and in which the content of carbon in the surface subjected to carburizing treatment and the content of nitrogen in the surface are respectively regulated to 0.6 to 1.5% and 0.05 to 0.9%. The amt.γR of retained austenite in the surface layer is suitable and its hardness is also sufficient, by which it has a long service life under lubrication in which foreign matter are intruded.</p> |
