PURPOSE: To actualize a fuel injection type internal combustion engine that is able to generate a premixed combustion, and to secure a stable and economic combustion at both medium and high speed ranges. CONSTITUTION: A combustion chamber 29 is formed by a cylinder head 23, a cylinder body 22 and a piston 26, while an injector 61 is installed in a cylinder side wall 22a, and thereby fuel is spouted into the combustion chamber 29 from this injector 61. Thereupon, a jet flow of the injector 61 is halved, then one side jet flow X is pointed to a piston apex 26c, and the other side jet flow Y is pointed to the more upper part than the one side jet flow. |
