PURPOSE: To provide a gearing support device for a transmission case to compensate a bearing outer ring fit-in clearance and a rolling surface clearance occurring due to a thermal expansion difference between a case and a bearing. CONSTITUTION: A taper is formed in the bearing support hole 6 of a transmission case 1. A taper is formed on the outside diameter of the outer ring of a bearing 12 attached in a support hole 11. Mounting is effected in such a manner that the end face of the outer wheel 12a thereof is suppressed by a retainer 4 and a pre-load is axially exerted.
