PURPOSE: To enhance the light fastness of an image part and a background part after recording, in a diazo thermal recording material wherein a recording layer containing a diazonium salt compd., a coupling component and an org. base is provided on a support, by using a compd. having a specific substituent as the diazonium salt compd. CONSTITUTION: In a diazo thermal recording material high in the light fastness of an image after recording and reduced in the coloration of a background part at a time of the irradiation with light after recording and obtained by providing a recording layer containing a diazonium salt compd., a coupling component and an org. base on a support, a diazonium salt compd. represented by formula (wherein R1 -R5 are a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group, aralkyl group or aryl group, R2 and R3 or R4 and R5 may form a ring along with a nitrogen atom and X is an acid anion) is used and is pref. microencapsulated. |
