PURPOSE: To easily heat various bodies by irradiating the bodies with a microwave by coating a ceramic compact with a heat-resistant resin soln. wherein titanium oxide powder or ferrite powder is dispersed and drying the soln. to constitute a microwave heating element. CONSTITUTION: A body is irradiated with a microwave and heated. In this case, a ceramic compact is coated with a heat-resistant resin soln. of polyimide, etc., wherein titanium oxide powder or ferrite powder of ferrous-ferric oxide etc., is dispersed, and the soln. is dried to constitute a microwave heating element. A compact consisting of heat-resistant ceramic and having a strength withstanding the application condition is used as the ceramic compact, and silica, alumina or a material consisting essentially of the mixture or ceramic and earthenware are used. The a circular or columnar titanium oxide powder having 5-1000 aspect ratio and 0.01-10μm minor axis is used.
