摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To improve the sedimentation rate of sludge without affecting microbe activities in activated sludge and enhance the transparency of supernatant water prepared after the sedimentation of activated sludge. CONSTITUTION: Silicone particles are recovered out of a suspension formed by suspending silicone particles in a calcium hydroxide water solution, and the silicone particles are mixed with activated sludge. As the affinity of silicone particles with activated sludge is high, most silicone particles are taken into activated sludge flocks to increase the specific weight of activated sludge and accelerate the sedimentation rate. As the affinity is high, activated sludge microbes of weak flocculation properties forming the cause of turbidity are made to adhere to reduce the activated sludge flowing out of a sedimentation tank, control the turbidity of supernatant water of activated sludge and improve transparency. As toxicity is not demonstrated by silicone particles to the microbes constituting activated sludge, and sedimentation properties are demonstrated by fluocculated and settled silicone particles, bad influence is scarce when the adding amount is increased.</p>
